SAVING THE CIRCLE!
“Educating and strengthening the human circle by creating common memories using performance arts and media based on Indigenous cultures, history, values, and other cultural alliances."
STC LATEST PROJECT: Indigenous Women Through History "Women have been the backbone for every worthy circumstance at every point in time throughout history. We are the voices of reason when indecision hovers- when decisions are made- when chaos threatens- when chaos occurs.
In this stage play, we will highlight “Indigenous Women Through History” who were/are the epitome of strength, resilience, and influence. These women include Actors, Aerospace Engineers, Aviators, Biologists, Composers, Dancers, Educators, Environmentalists, Explorers, Firefighters, Historians, Medics, Poets, Ballerinas, Producers, Public Officials, Soldiers, Sports, Singers, and Musicians.
Our current list includes 30 Indigenous Women and additional singers. A partial outline of the 17 acts follows.
EPISODE SUMMARY:
Education comes in all forms from learning how to be more self-sufficient as a tribal nation to teaching non-Natives about Indigenous cultures not previously taught in public schools. Let the education begin!
